The Association of Energy Engineers, founded in 1977, has a long tradition of offering career enhancing professional development opportunities. Highly informative courses, seminars and publications assist participants in staying current in their field. Many of the available courses and published materials are directed towards helping industry professionals achieve various certifications available from the AEE, including the widely recognized Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.

These ongoing educational activities give members opportunities to learn from high level energy industry professionals who share their interest and expertise in areas such as effective energy management, energy efficiency, reliable energy delivery and alternative energy solutions.

There are a variety of courses, technical publications and guided facility tours to fit your professional development needs available at both the Chapter and National level.

AEE SoCal Chapter conducts a locally based, moderately priced 5 day CEM course in a classroom setting that features an optional CEM exam at the conclusion of the course work.

AEE SoCal 2012 CEM Course Dates & Location Announced:

May 2 - 8, 2012

SoCalGas Company Energy Resource Center, Downey, California

This is the course that will empower you to "put it all together" and get the results your company expects.The week-long program of instruction covers the specific techniques necessary to maximize your effectiveness as an energy manager, vice president of operations, or facilities manager.

Comprehensive in scope, this five-day program takes you systematically from the underlying fundamentals to specific "how to's." The optional Certified Energy Manager (CEM) examination will be administered at the conclusion of this program (separate application required.)

The 5-day AEE SoCal Chapter CEM Course takes place on a Wednesday/Thursday/Friday with a weekend break and are then resumes on Monday/Tuesday. For 2012, the CEM Course is scheduled to take place on May 2, 3, 4 & May 7, 8, 2012 at the SoCalGas Company Energy Resource Center in Downey, California. The optional CEM Exam takes place on May 8 at the conclusion of the course.
