About AEE SoCal Chapter

AEE Southern California Chapter (AEE SoCal) is a large and dynamic regional chapter of the Atlanta-based Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), an organization founded in 1977 with over 13,000 members in the United States and around the world.The mission of AEE is "to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for Sustainable Development."

AEE SoCal is a focal point for energy professionals in Southern California that are interested in developing their knowledge base, business network and career through the Chapter's regional events and programs. AEE SoCal Chapter activities include monthly meetings with presentations by industry experts, a well-attended Annual Conference and valuable educational courses that can prepare participants for AEE certification exams, such as the exam for achieving the renowned Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation.

AEE and its Chapters are dedicated to providing professional development opportunities, industry networking, conference and seminar programs, technical publications and journals and more. Its members are professionals with strong interests in energy engineering and energy management, renewable and alternative energy, power generation, energy services, sustainability and related areas.

AEE is also well known for offering the highly respected Certified Energy Manager (CEM) professional certification, with CEM exam preparation courses available both from the AEE Center, the Worldwide Hub of all Chapters, and from many of its chapters, including AEE SoCal. Other certifications available from AEE include Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Building Commissioning Professional, Certified Energy Procurement Professional, Certified Sustainable Development Professional, Certified Carbon Reduction Manager, Certified Measurement & Verification Professional.
